Senior Product Engineer
Building team Trmeric
At Trmeric, we’re on a mission to re-imagine how enterprises transform. Our agentic platform empowers enterprise tech & business teams to translate business strategies into execution and measurable outcomes.
At our core is a sophisticated, multi-layered AI stack spanning reasoning, orchestration, and agentic AI. We’re not just building tools—we’re architecting the future of intelligent tech functions.
Our momentum
Based in the US, Trmeric is a fast-growing, AI-native startup. Within two years of launch some of the world’s largest enterprises have made Trmeric their System for Transformation. This includes a Big 4 Audit / Accounting / Consulting firm, one of world’s largest metals & mining company, leading tech companies, consumer goods companies which are household names globally, and many more.
- Unlike most startups we are profitable! However, given the growth opportunity at hand we have closed a round of funding (heavily oversubscribed)
- As we scale into this next phase—building enterprise-grade capabilities for the most demanding organizations—we’re expanding our design team with folks who want to build something extraordinary for the most extraordinary organizations in the world.
How we hire differently
First things first: we don’t do job descriptions at Trmeric.
A ‘job’ isn’t what we’re offering. We’re inviting you to join us on ambitious missions that matter—so we write Mission Descriptions (MDs) instead of JDs. We assume you already know what typical roles entail, so we skip the laundry list. Instead, we focus on who we are, what we value, and the impact you’ll make.
If you’re ready to lead world-class engineering, ship at pace without sacrificing quality, and shape the future of enterprise technology—we’d love to hear from you.
Senior Product Engineer
The mission
As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll own product surfaces end-to-end — from a rough idea in a customer conversation to polished, AI-powered experiences running in production for the world’s largest enterprises. You’ll work across the full stack (TypeScript, React, Next.js on the front; Python services behind), wire real intelligence — agents, retrieval, evaluations — into product experiences people love, and ship at a pace most companies only talk about. You’ll sit at the intersection of product, design, and AI engineering, and you’ll behave less like a resource on a team and more like a founder of your area.
Here’s your mission, should you choose to accept it.
1. Ship product, end to end
Own features from first principle to production: shape the problem with product and design, build the frontend and the backend, instrument it, launch it behind flags, and iterate on real usage. No handoffs, no waiting — if something is in the way of shipping, you clear it. Your definition of done is a customer using it, not a PR merged.
2. Build AI-native product experiences
Our product is powered by a team of AI agents — and the hardest, most interesting work is making that intelligence feel effortless in the UI. You’ll partner with our AI engineers to bring agents, RAG pipelines, and evaluation loops into product surfaces: streaming reasoning into views, designing for uncertainty and failure modes, and making an enterprise digital brain feel as simple as a consumer app.
3. Set the bar for craft
Enterprise software doesn’t have to feel like enterprise software. You bring frontend performance and polish — fast loads, fluid interactions, obsessive attention to detail — and the backend competence (APIs, data models, auth, background jobs) to make it hold up at enterprise scale. You raise the quality bar for everyone around you without slowing anyone down.
4. Move at startup speed, with judgment
Ship v0s quickly, run experiments, use analytics and feature flags, and be low-ego about throwing away what doesn’t work. You’re comfortable with ambiguity — you’d rather make a good decision today than a perfect one next sprint — and you know which corners can be cut and which never should.
5. Own outcomes like a founder
Obsess over customers, not tickets. Run technical discovery with stakeholders, communicate at executive grade, and take accountability for the business impact of what you build. When you see something broken — in the product, the process, or the plan — you fix it or flag it. At Trmeric, accountability and teamwork aren’t posters on a wall; they’re how we win.
What you bring
- A track record of shipping modern web applications end-to-end — we care far more about what you’ve built and shipped than years on a resume.
- Deep TypeScript, React, and Next.js — with the frontend performance instincts and polish to show for it.
- Solid backend competence in Python — APIs, databases, auth, background jobs, and experience scaling products in production.
- Real AI literacy — working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and eval frameworks; you’ve built with AI, not just read about it.
- Strong product intuition — a sharp eye for what good product looks like, first-principles thinking, and genuine curiosity about users.
- High agency and founder-like ownership — you ship fast, own outcomes, and thrive in high-velocity, cross-functional teams.
- Executive-grade communication — you can run discovery with customers, align designers and engineers, and present crisply to leadership.
- An AI-first mindset and systems thinking — you reach for AI tools and agents in your own workflow and reason about the whole system, not just your slice.
