Engineering Lead

Bangalore, India Full-time Engineering

At trmeric, we’re on a mission to empower IT and tech teams worldwide. Our unified, intelligent platform transforms how teams operate, collaborate, and deliver—turning complexity into competitive advantage.

At our core is a sophisticated, multi-layered AI stack spanning reasoning, orchestration, and agentic AI. We’re not just building tools—we’re architecting the future of intelligent tech functions.

Our Momentum

Based in the US, trmeric is a fast-growing, AI-native startup. Within a year of GA launch, we’re already partnering with some of the world’s largest enterprises. As we scale into this next phase—building enterprise-grade capabilities for the most demanding organizations—we’re expanding our engineering team with people who want to build something extraordinary.

How we hire differently

First things first: we don’t do job descriptions at trmeric.

A ‘job’ isn’t what we’re offering. We’re inviting you to join us on ambitious missions that matter—so we write Mission Descriptions (MDs) instead of JDs. We assume you already know what typical roles entail, so we skip the laundry list. Instead, we focus on who we are, what we value, and the impact you’ll make.

If you’re ready to lead world-class engineering, ship at pace without sacrificing quality, and shape the future of enterprise technology—we’d love to hear from you.

Mission Description — Engineering Lead

Who are we looking for?

As Engineering Lead, you’ll oversee trmeric’s entire product engineering organization—design, frontend, backend, AI, and DevOps. You bring the best-in-class processes, raise the bar on engineering excellence, and partner closely with Design, Product, and the Engineering Head to plan and deliver releases that delight enterprise customers. You’ve led large, diverse engineering teams for B2B and B2C SaaS products, you’re technically sharp on the latest stack, and you’ve run multiple engineering PODs at once.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader with deep instincts for product development and release planning—someone who can orchestrate work across streams, grow the people around them, and turn a fast-moving team into a high-performing one as we scale to large enterprises.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept

1.  Lead the Engineering Organization

Own the health, direction, and delivery of the entire product engineering team. You’ll lead engineers across design, frontend, backend, AI, and DevOps—setting clear goals, structuring the team for scale, and creating an environment where talented people do their best work. As we move into the enterprise phase, you turn a growing team into a cohesive, high-performing organization.

2.  Drive Engineering Excellence

You bring best-in-class engineering processes and practices—code quality, architecture standards, CI/CD, testing, observability, security, and operational rigor—and embed them without slowing the team down. You raise the technical bar across the board and hold the line on quality even as pace increases.

3.  Run the PODs & Multi-Stream Delivery

You’re experienced running multiple engineering PODs in parallel and coordinating work across streams. You balance load, manage dependencies, and keep teams aligned and unblocked—so that frontend, backend, AI, design, and DevOps move together rather than in silos.

4.  Own Product Releases

You partner with Design, the Product Owner/Manager, and the Engineering Head to plan and ship releases end-to-end. From scope and sequencing to readiness and launch, you bring deep product-development and release-planning instincts, manage risk and trade-offs, and make sure every release lands cleanly for enterprise customers.

5.  Grow People & Stay at the Frontier

You mentor leads and engineers, build healthy team culture, and develop the next layer of leadership. You stay current on the latest technologies and ways of working, bring a growth mindset, and keep trmeric—and the team around you—at the leading edge.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading large, diverse engineering teams for B2B and/or B2C SaaS products.
  • Strong technical depth across the modern stack—frontend, backend, AI, and DevOps—with the judgment to set architecture and standards.
  • Hands-on experience running multiple engineering PODs and coordinating delivery across streams.
  • Deep understanding of product development and release planning, working alongside Design, Product, and engineering leadership.
  • A track record of introducing best-in-class engineering processes—agile delivery, CI/CD, quality, observability, and security.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to align engineers, product, design, and executives.Ability to apply Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) principles to solve user and business problems.
  • A people-first leadership style with a record of mentoring engineers and growing high-performing teams.
